Adolf, Count of Nassau-Dillenburg (1362–1420) was a son of Count John I, Count of Nassau-Dillenburg and Margareta of the Marck.〔 cites: Niederrheins Urkundenbuch, Band III, 707, p. 605.〕 After the death of his father, Count John I, in 1416 the lands were not divided, but instead overseen by the four brothers Adolf, John II, Engelbert I and John III.〔Frdr.
